The Third Workshop intended to develop the Global Nanotechnology Network (GNN) will take place in Saarbrucken, Germany, on May 26-27, 2005. The first development workshop, held in Cancun, Mexico in 2001, identified the need for a global infrastructure to enhance international collaborations in nano research and education. The second, held in Yokohama, Japan in 2003, identified common interests and created broad-based international support for the project. A third workshop is being co-organized by German, Japanese and US partners. The hosts are the Leibniz-Institute for New
Materials in Saarbrucken and the CC-NanoChem network. 4. Potential Eastern partners in European Projects. The MINAEAST-NET web page ( http://www.minaeast.net/) is displaying reach information about the potential Eastern partners in FP6. In the database “research centres” one can find about 300 entries. One can have access by registering first. 5. Travel grants for researchers from Eastern Europe . Travel grants for researchers from Eastern Europe .
