13 Iranian Conference on Optics and Photonics. 6-8 February 2007, Terhan, Iran.

On behalf of the executive committee, it is my great pleasure to invite you to the ICOP2007 (The 13th Iranian Conference on Optics and Photonics), which will be held in Iran Telecom Research Center(ITRC), Tehran, Iran, from 6 - 8th Feb. 2007. The conference will feature research areas, such as optics, photonics, lasers, optoelectronics, optical materials and devices, quantum optics, communication networks, optical communication systems and devices or other related subjects. In addition, the program will include a set of tutorials by recognized experts, where researchers and practicing engineers can learn about new technologies and keep technically up-to-date in a fast changing world. We also plan to run several workshops which aim to further strengthen participants understanding of latest advances in the optics and photonics arena. 3rd International Nanotechnology Conference on Communications and Cooperation, 16-19 April 2007, Brussels, Belgium (Details...)

For the third year in a row, global senior researchers, industry leaders and policy makers will gather at the International Nanotechnology Conference on Communication and Cooperation. In 2007, Brussels, the heart of Europe, will be the communal ground for in-depth discussions and technical sessions on a variety of issues related to the future of international collaboration in nanotechnologies.

In order to further strengthen the continuous dialogue between Europe, Japan and the United States, broad regional overviews will be combined with detailed presentations from each of the regions.

Technical sessions will highlight today’s state of affairs and tomorrow’s challenges and bottlenecks regarding various related domains in nanoelectronics and explore the links with related areas, such as biotechnology, advanced materials development, microsystems and photonics.

A topical session will highlight the economical and societal implications of nanotechnology. 14th Semiconducting and Insulating Materials Conference. 1-20 May 2007, Fayetteville, Arkansas, USA (Details...)

Initiated in 1980 in Nottingham (UK), the SIMC conference series becomes a traditional event for scientists and engineers from both academics and industry. This meeting has provided an opportunity for efficient scientific exchange on topics related to fundamental and application questions on semiconducting and insulating materials that are widely used for electronic and optoelectronic devices.

To continue the tradition, the SIMC-XIV conference will highlight recent advances in semiconducting and insulating materials and applications.
